Reston Property Restoration is a referral and marketing service. We do not directly pack, transport, clean, store, return, or insure belongings. Any assessment, estimate, contract, payment, storage agreement, warranty, or work is handled directly between you and the provider.
What Are Pack-Out Services?
Pack-out services involve documenting, packing, removing, and storing belongings while a property is cleaned or repaired. Some providers also clean damaged contents and return them after restoration is complete.
When Pack-Out Services May Be Needed
A provider may recommend a pack-out when:
- Water, fire, smoke, or mold has affected belongings
- Contents obstruct cleanup or repairs
- The property is unsafe to occupy
- Items require off-site cleaning
- Furniture needs protection from dust or debris
- Extensive repairs require cleared work areas
The provider should explain which items need to be removed and whether any can remain safely onsite.

Assessment and Inventory
The provider may identify items for removal and document them using lists, labels, photographs, or tracking numbers.
Packing

Items may be transported to a provider-operated or third-party storage facility. Confirm who is responsible while the items are in transit.

Contents Cleaning
